Side note: This graffiti is etched on the sidewalk in front of Quest, a local gay bar. I bet Tom is a popular man in that place.

Fireworks

New Year's Day fireworks from my bedroom window. I had a great view from my bed, but I had to take this picture from a different vantage point due to glare.

Lucky Gooming, Fleet & Conkling Streets

I'm not sure if you can tell from this photo, but the mural painted on the side of Lucky Grooming has a bestial-erotic quality. Drawings of dogs with sexy legs are creepy. You'll notice the doggie-version of Marilyn Monroe. You can't see it here, but "Lucky 3 itch" is written on the wall. I get the pop-culture reference, but I can't help making the leap from fleas to crabs.
